You mentioned your engineering skills a while back. Do you think you could build me something?

I'm looking for something a little more discreet than my blaster. Didn't you mention you work in weapons research now? I'm looking for help to modify something small that won't get confiscated if you're searched. A watch, maybe./span>

If you can't make it as effective as a regular weapon that's fine, I can work with surprise instead of lethal force if I must.

I've been starting to get myself involved in bounty hunting despite my best intentions not to. But this place is different. You run into enemies with powers you don't understand and can't match. I'm not arrogant enough to believe this can't backfire on me.

Yes, I would like that very much. Something which you can always carry on you without it catching attention is exactly what I'm looking for. And what I've seen of your omni-tool is more than impressive.

I'd appreciate it. Very much so.

Do you think you could add in some kind of shock tool? That'd be useful to incapacitate, if you want to interrogate later. And if we're talking pure wishful thinking, some high-powered fire capability, and something to make slicing doors easier. Tell me if that's possible.

[OOC: He's talking about Neural Shock, Incinerate and Decryption. ]

Did you watch Emperor Palpatine's message?

Besides overthrowing the legitimate - corrupt, flawed but still legitimately democratic - government and enslaving the better part of a galaxy? Stripping entire planets of non-humans of their rights, selling them, or working them to death?

He's got nerves calling us terrorists. If death would stick I would happily put a blaster bolt in his head, consequences be damned.

Thank you. I'm not saying I won't use it if it becomes necessary. But I'm not going to live in hiding.

I'm not saying he knowingly lied to you. The first thing you have to understand as a spy is that the stories people tell you will never match, for everyone has their own truth. And your own truth, or your perception of the truth, is biased as well. I'm sure Palpatine and Thrawn believe they're doing what is best for the galaxy. It just so happens they're wrong, and we need to stop them.

There's always been slavery in my galaxy, it's nothing new. Not in the Republic, the government they toppled, but even the Republic didn't care as long as it happened outside their borders.

But to rule as tyrants with such a complete chokehold over so many worlds, that's It's not new either, actually, but something we haven't seen for a thousand years at least.

For now, we need a friend who won't shoot us for being terrorists. Maybe someone who helps us prepare for the worst case. If that day comes? I'd like to have you at my side.

That sounds perfect, yes. And I don't mind waiting, I appreciate that you're taking the time to do this for me at all.

A blade - a normal one? Not too long or unwieldy, maybe a little curved. I'm going to use it in close combat. A last resort weapon.

[ooc: Set after this conversation because Kay has no brain to mouth filter.]

Hello Garrus, good day.

I hope you are doing well today? How is work going? Too busy? Not busy enough? The weather, hm, crazy lately uh? by the way, do you like girls?

[Nah, Garrus is too much of a good friend for Kay to be mad at him.]

Because there's a lady that would like to meet you but she asked me if you would really be interested in the first place.

[Kay doesn't really like, nor can lie, so he doesn't bother most of the time.]

Oh? But we had fun at the shooting range.

[Nope.]

We should repeat it some other day. [Kay has none. He got to play with Garru's big rifle, what's not to like?]

You are always busy with work, maybe taking a day off could do you good. if it doesn't work, it doesn't work. She can't speak but she uses the communicator just fine and she seem to share some of your interests.

Her name is Neo.

Sorry, I don't leave voicemails.

I'm Neo, Kaytoo's coworker. He gave me your contact number because he thinks we'd be good together. He gave you a good review, just so you know. He didn't say if you liked coffee, though.

Thank you, Garrus. It means more than I can say.

I know, the slavery's awful. And I wish I could say it's only an Imperial thing, but it isn't. Our people are very good at ignoring injustices as long as it doesn't affect them personally. It makes me so angry.
